About Us

Westwind Inn, located off Travis Avenue, is the 24-hour arrival point for PCSing military who arrive after duty hours or on weekends and holidays. Please see Related Links menu for Westwind Inn Services and helpful links.

If you arrive between 7:30am and 4:30pm MondayMon-Fri, report to the Military Personnel Office in Bldg. 381 on Airlift Drive. You can drop off your personnel records and schedule Westwind Inn roomin-processing appointments at the Customer Service section.

People traveling on official government orders are eligible to make reservations for transient quarters. Reservations can be made by the individual or their sponsor. The reservation office, located in Bldg. 402, is open for walk-in assistance from 7am-5pm Mon-Fri. Reservations can also be made by calling 707.424-8000.

The Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLF) are designed to accommodate up to five family members. Active duty military traveling with their families can use the TLF while on PCS, leave, or permissive TDY. Civilian and military friends and relatives of patients at David Grant Medical Center and hospital outpatients are eligible to stay at the Westwind Inn. Small pets are allowed only in designated units for an additional fee.

Visiting Quarters (VQ) are available for individuals traveling alone. Westwind Inn roomPriority is given to military members and U.S. civilian employees traveling on official government orders and active duty members on emergency leave. TDY students of foreign military or civilian personnel sponsored through security assistance under allied exchange or foreign liaison programs are also eligible.

Retirees and military members who are traveling without official Westwind Inn roomgovernment orders may use the VQ on a space-available basis. Contract quarters are available for personel traveling on official government orders when transient quarters are full.
