The Sierra Inn works very hard to make itself seem as homey as mom's kitchen, just larger. The variety, quality, and friendly customer service are unmatched. Air Mobility Command attested to that fact by awarding the Sierra Inn and the rest of Food Services the AMC Hennessy Trophy for the last three years. The staff is really proud of its tremendous variety in its 14-day rotational menu. The Sierra Inn dining facility serves about 36,000 meals each month. But they don’t just serve meals – they serve customers. Sierra Inn is located in the heart of the dormitory area with a bevy of menu choices for all its meals. In addition to its normal complement of dining choices, the Sierra Inn offers a Grab-n-Go menu that features such fast food choices as fried chicken and sub sandwiches. Frozen pizzas and other microwaveable items are available for quick pick-up for people in a real hurry. Military members receiving Basic Allowance for Subsistence and “meal card” holders may use this dining facility. Enlisted members receiving BAS may dine at Sierra Inn up to 30 times a month.
