Intermediate Rock Climbing

Learn the art of setting anchors and top-ropes. This course will get you started with all the basic technical skills required to enter into the world of outdoor climbing, not to mention all of the fun climbing that we will be doing once we set up some ropes. You must be belay qualified or have equivalent knowledge to participate in this course. Course will include all equipment, transportation, and professional instruction.  If you have already taken the course or have equivalent knowledge and would like to join us, feel free to use this as a Rock Climbing trip.

Beginning Whitewater Kayaking

This is the perfect course to get you started in the awesome sport of whitewater kayaking. We will teach you all the necessary skills in the controlled environment of the Travis Aquatic Center. Course skills will include wet-exit, turning and propulsion strokes, and more. Don’t let this sport pass you by! If you are have already taken the course or have equivalent knowledge and would like to join us, feel free to use this as an Open Pool Kayaking Session.

Being able to roll a kayak is the gateway to enjoying your kayaking experience.  In the warm and safe water of the Travis Aquatic Center, our experienced adventure staff will teach you all you need to know to roll a kayak.  This class is ideal if you want to try sea kayaking or become a whitewater boater!  Successful completion of our Beginning Sea Kayaking, Beginning Whitewater Kayaking, or equivalent knowledge is a prerequisite to this class. If you are have already taken the course or have equivalent knowledge and would like to join us, feel free to use this as an Open Pool Kayaking Session.

Mt. Shasta Snow School and Summit Attempt

Not for the faint of heart…This trip will include two days of adrenaline pushing heart pounding cardio enduring mountaineering. Join us as we traverse the glaciers of Mt. Shasta while learning the techniques needed to summit a mountain and get educated in snow science, avalanche safety, and cold winter camping. Participants must be in top physical condition to participate as the activity can be demanding. Call for more information.

We are going to Monterey to meet up with our instructors and hit the water.  Surfing is a fun and exciting sport and you couldn’t ask for a better location than the Monterey Bay.  If you have already taken this course or have equivalent knowledge and would like to join us, feel free to use this as a surfing trip.

This course will detail the skills required to maneuver successfully on moving water.  This is a great class to get you comfortable in a boat before you move on to dealing with rapids. 4 Day Rafting Trip on the Klamath River

The Lower Klamath River is a classic wilderness river adventure in a beautiful mountain setting. We will be on the river for more than 35 miles, and spend four days and three nights on this gorgeous stretch pulling off the river to camp each night. We will calmly float through serene forest as well as run the feared Dragons Tooth Rapid. This is an excellent river for first-time river runners, families, or any whitewater rafting enthusiasts looking for a fun and peaceful wilderness escape.

Napa Bike Tour

Join us as we head over to the Napa Valley for wine tasting and biking Touring. While most would say this type of activity shouldn’t mix, our well experienced guides beg to differ. Travis OAP will venture through to several stops all while taking in the scenic views of the Napa valley. Bikes will be provided upon request, while those who have their own equipment are more than welcome. Pack a lunch and a hydration pack and away we go. This trip is for 18 and older.
