MARINA/YACHT CLUB

 

MARINA MANAGER (NF-1101-03)

Work experience or education related to the duties to be performed.  Knowledge of and experience with facilities, equipment and supplies required for maintenance of boats.  Knowledge of boating regulations and procedures.  Knowledge of and experience in non-appropriated fund budgeting and financial transactions and procedures for obtaining procurement and maintenance.  Knowledge of food service and health regulations.  Must obtain a food handlers certificate.  Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in the English language.  Must pass a physical examination.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).

 

SNACK BAR OPERATOR (NF-1101-02)

Must have experience or education/training which demonstrates the ability and the knowledge of food service techniques and preparation.  Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language to present ideas and proposals confidently and convincingly both orally and in writing.  Must have experienced knowledge of food costs and procurement procedures.  Must have experienced knowledge in planning and projecting work requirements in order to meet established goals by applying basic management principles.  Must obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).

 

MARINA MAINTENANCE WORKER (NA-4749-07)

Experience which has demonstrated skill in installing and preparing docks, doors, boats and wall mounted furniture in the Marina including miscellaneous hardware.  Experience in carpentry work by measuring, cutting, construction or repairing docks, decks, hand rails, flooring by using power tools including table saws, drills, bench saws, skill saws, and small hand tools.  Experience in painting, use of hand tools and operating equipment.  Experience performing repair and maintenance work on a variety of small equipment.  Must posses or obtain a valid driver’s license.  Must be able to speak, read and write proficient English.  Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).

 

COOK (NA-7404-04)

Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity.  Ability to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic.  Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required.  Must be physically able to frequently lift object weighing up to 40 pounds.  Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.  Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).

 

OFFICE AUTOMATION CLERK (NF-0326-02)

Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.  In addition to the above requirements, applicant is required to demonstrate possession of a high degree of proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques.  Must be a qualified typist (40 wpm).  Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages is desirable, but is not required and may be learned on the job.  Experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity is desirable, but is not required and may be learned on the job.  Able to work on feet most of the time.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).

 

MARINE ENGINE MECHANIC (NA-8610-10)

Must have experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of inboard and outboard diesel and gasoline motor malfunctions.  This experience must have provided a through knowledge of and the ability to test and troubleshoot components and systems to locate marine equipment defects; interpret and apply manufacturer’s repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, diagnostic codes, and safety manual; operate electronic test equipment.  Must be physically able to frequently lift, handle and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and with assistance, objects up to and over 50 pounds.  Must be able to frequently stand, bend, stoop, crawl, and work in tight spaces for long periods of time.  Must be able to read, write, and speak competent English.  This is a position of trust.  Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).
